54 Countries. One Continent. No Shortcuts.
In-Depth Africa is an independent documentary channel covering every African nation in depth — one country at a time. History, culture, politics, economy, people, language, faith, national symbols, and the verdict on what makes each nation distinct from every other on earth.
Not a summary. Not a highlight reel. A full file.
What In-Depth Africa is
For too long, the world has looked at a continent of 54 distinct nations — over two thousand languages, thousands of years of civilisation, more than one billion four hundred million people — and seen one story.
In-Depth Africa exists because that is not good enough.
Every episode of In-Depth Africa covers one African country completely. The land that shaped its people. The people who built its identity. The languages it thinks in. The history it survived to become itself. The leaders who built something and the ones who burned it down. The money — who has it and who does not. The faith that sustains it. The culture it has given the world. The symbols it chose for itself at the moment of independence. And the verdict — what makes this country unlike any other on earth.
That is the dossier. That is the file. That is In-Depth Africa.
Fifty-four countries. Every one of them.
“Africa deserves to be covered with the same depth, the same specificity, the same respect that every other continent on earth takes for granted.”
The format
Every In-Depth Africa episode follows the same ten-segment dossier structure. The consistency is deliberate. The viewer knows exactly what they are getting — and can compare across every country they watch.
Geography, terrain, climate, natural resources, and what the physical landscape made possible.
Ethnic groups, tribes, population, diversity, and the tensions within.
Official languages, indigenous languages, lingua franca, and one untranslatable word that contains the culture.
Precolonial civilisation, colonisation, independence, and the history the world has not fully told.
System of government, current leadership, political history, and who actually holds power.
GDP, currency, economy, inequality, and the one economic story nobody is telling.
Religion, spiritual traditions, how faith shapes public life, and what the country prays.
Music, food, fashion, festivals, literature, sport, and what the country has given the world.
The flag decoded, the anthem translated, the coat of arms explained, and the gap between what the country promised itself and what it delivered.
The one thing about this country that cannot be said about any other.
Every episode ends the same way: “That is [Country Name]. Fully filed.”
A growing library
In-Depth Africa covers all 54 African countries. The planned library grows by two episodes every month. Each episode is a complete, standalone Africa documentary. Start anywhere.
